GOLD LEAFED OGEE MIRROR

Gold leaf is one of the oldest and most luxurious finishing techniques in furniture and decorative arts, and it remains unmatched for warmth and visual depth. This custom wall mirror combines a shaped ogee silhouette, a flowing double-curved profile with roots in classical architecture, with hand-applied gold leaf finish across the full metal frame.

The ogee profile was cut from square tube stock and shaped and welded to form the distinctive S-curve silhouette. The frame was then gilded with genuine gold leaf in a careful, multi-step application process. The result is a finish that looks rich and dimensional, catching light in a way that gold paint simply cannot replicate.

This mirror works beautifully as a standalone statement piece or as part of a gallery wall. The shaped silhouette makes it particularly effective in rooms with strong architectural character, high ceilings, arched doorways, ornate molding, where a standard rectangular mirror would feel underdressed.
