A home office should be more than just function, it should inspire. This custom built-in display shelving unit was designed for a residential home office in Oklahoma City, creating a storage and display system that turns an ordinary room into a purposeful, beautifully organized workspace.

The shelving unit was built to exact dimensions to fit between the built-in desk and ceiling. With solid steel sides and wood shelves, the mixed-material composition feels both industrial and warm, structurally confident without the visual weight you'd expect from a piece of this scale. The unit is anchored to wall studs for structural security and finished with the same care as any freestanding piece of furniture. Painted surfaces are hand-sanded to a smooth, furniture-grade finish.

Built-in shelving dramatically increases both the functional storage capacity and the perceived value of a room. Unlike freestanding bookshelves, built-ins read as part of the architecture - permanent, intentional, and integrated.
